4 Fall Home Trends You’re Going to See Everywhere This Season
As the crisp air settles in and the leaves begin their vibrant transformation, fall offers a perfect opportunity to refresh your living space. This season, design trends focus on blending comfort with sophistication, creating inviting environments that celebrate the beauty of autumn.
Fall’s color palette continues to evolve, embracing deeper, more nuanced hues. Expect to see a resurgence of earthy tones like rich terracotta, deep forest green, and warm mustard yellow. These colors not only evoke the changing leaves but also add a sense of grounding and warmth to your interiors.
Textural contrast plays a significant role this fall. Think plush velvet throw pillows, woven wool rugs, and chunky knit blankets. Combining these elements creates a cozy atmosphere perfect for the cooler months.
Here’s a look at the top fall home trends for 2024 that will help you infuse your home with seasonal charm.
one || gingham patterns
Gingham is the ultimate crossover print, in my humble opinion. On textiles like pillows, throws, and bedding, it feels just as cozy as classic plaid but with a slightly more elevated spin. Lean on muted neutrals and earth tones—as opposed to pastels or bold brights—to make this pattern last well past summer.
two || copper finishes
Chrome had it’s notch turned up earlier this year, and brass is a classic year-round, but copper finishes feel especially fitting for autumn. The warmth of this metal echoes the warm colors we’re about to start seeing outside, and especially if you choose a piece with an aged finish, the look is timeless. The kitchen is the natural place to try this trend, but you can also incorporate copper finishes throughout the house through small accessories like candlesticks and vases.
three || mossy green
Burgundy, burnt orange, and brown are classic fall colors, but if these warm tones aren’t your thing, this fall home trend is for you. Moss green is showing up across all sorts of fall decor collections, and it reminds me of the color of leaves right before they start to turn. To us, it’s the perfect shade for fall.
four || fruit-inspired art
Still-life artwork featuring fruits of all kinds is the unexpected accent I’m loving this fall. If you think about it, fruit often features colors like orange, red, and yellow, making this a fun alternative way to incorporate the colors of fall into your decor. Pumpkins are the obvious choice this time of year, but for something a little less on the nose, look for artwork featuring other seasonal fruits like apples, pears, and pomegranates.
